First Draft Studios Mentorship Program , articleApril 23, 2022 - Virginia Tech’s College Access Collaborative is excited to work with Architecture students Maria Garlock and Makayla Rillamas to launch the inaugural program for First Draft Studios, a mentorship program that connects high school students of color to College of Architecture and Urban Studies (CAUS) Programs, and to mentors in Interior Design, Landscape Architecture, and Industrial Design. In a day full of hands-on, minds-on activities, 15 high school juniors from Montgomery County Public Schools will explore CAUS majors as creative outlets and as viable, successful careers.
